For a 2nd year, NEWorks produced DC Mayor Muriel Bowser's Full Democracy Champions Luncheon in commemoration of DC Emancipation Day. The event, held on Monday, April 15, 2024, was hosted by Symone Sanders-Townsend, MSNBC Co-host of "The Weekend," and featured The Honorable Max Frost as keynote speaker.

For a second year, NEWorks has collaborated with the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in Orlando, Florida to present 6th & Jazz, an educational performance series that annually introduces over 16,000 sixth graders in Orange and Osceola Counties to the jazz genre!

NEWorks is honored to co-produce this free, ticketed musical tribute to the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., jointly presented by Georgetown University and the Center.
NEWorks Founder & CEO Nolan Williams, Jr. was recognized by his alma mater Oberlin College as one of 21 trailblazing Black alumni. He was honored during Black History Month alongside luminaries Johnetta Cole, R. Nathaniel Dett, Moses Hogan, Rihannon Giddens, Michael Morgan, Michael Sorrell, and more.

Our collaboration with dancers from Dallas Black and Alvin Ailey has won a 2023 Telly Award Silver Prize for Best Social Video (Dance & Performance) and the WETA/PBS feature story on our musical GRACE has been nominated for a regional Emmy Award. Click below to access both videos.
